Freespace Reference Kits
The Freespace® Reference Kits (FSRKs) incorporate Freespace motion solutions in a variety of configurations. The FSRKs enable easy evaluation of Freespace motion technology for in-air pointing and motion control applications. The FSRKs give product designers and software developers all the components, tools, and documentation needed to rapidly prototype motion control devices without any prior knowledge of motion control.
For hardware developers, the FSRKs dramatically simplify prototyping and development of devices that can benefit from in-air pointing and motion control functionality. The well-documented interfaces and small size of the reference hardware ensure that Freespace motion technology integrates easily into a wide array of device designs. The FSRKs offer a variety of wireless and wired interfaces for even greater product design flexibility.
For software application developers, the FSRKs allow software prototyping and development with minimal upfront hardware design. With FSRKs, software development can begin without the need to understand MEMS inertial sensors or motion-processing algorithms.
The Freespace MotionStudio is available to provide an intuitive interface for developers to get more details about motion sensing data and also to configure reference kits and products for the specific application needs. For application development, the open source libfreespace library and motion control APIs provide developers an easy path to develop the host applications for Freespace-enabled devices.
